Tonight I had dinner with an old, old friend and it got me thinking about connections in my life. About my past and my future and how I maintain and nourish links with the people I cherish.
It’s funny but I seem to have reconnected with all these people from my childhood in the past few years. People with whom I never really thought I’d wind up hanging out again, but now have become such intrinsic parts of my little liquidjill tapestry I can hardly imagine my life without them.
And because of these reconnections I do have a parcel of advice to you – intraweb.
Yes, that means you mr. green trucker hat man from last night, and the rest of you too. If there is a person in your life that you’ve lost connection with for some random reason, some old forgotten issue or just because time, work and life in general came between you, it really is never too late. Extending a hand to what may not be much more than an idea from your past can often pay off.
Big time.
I’m so glad for old and awesome friends.

hey jill this is kelly’s friend and we had a discussion that you need to find your summertime superpower. she has her icy cold feet of justice in the winter now you need something for summer. this way we have a seasonal crime fighting duo. yeah yeah i know this has nothing to do with your blog and it’s randomness at its finest but hey who doesn’t like randomness?
Superpower… hmmmm
Can I fight crime with my insane power of forgetfulness? Like just kind of wander about in a psuedo daze accidentally making things right in the universe?
I think I may need to put a little more thought into this.
Thanks for posting though, please keep doing so!
