My resolutions came a little early this year and, inspired by one of my favorite bloggers I’ve decided to begin a regimen of really healthy eating and some cleansing.
Anyone that knows me knows I already eat pretty darned well, but I’m committed to improving the little things. I’m also adapting a regular schedule of hot Vinyasa yoga (pretty vigorous yoga performed at an aerobic pace and in a room that’s around 105 degrees).
To accelerate the cleansing I’ve started drinking Kombucha, which is just delicious. It seemed absolutely meant to be yesterday when I ran into Eric Childs of Kombucha Brooklyn fame at the Brooklyn Lyceum. After an inspiring chat with this local merchant (and alchemist of sorts it seems) I purchased a couple of bottles and will be drinking 4-6 ounces a day along with my mostly plants Michael Pollan inspired menu.
Today I’m headed out into the beautiful snow covered cold and sunny day to do a little running at the gym and then off to the city to meet up with friends. I know, it’s a weird week to swear off drinking but I have a feeling my body will thank me for this.
