healthy habits

I called my mom today and mentioned I was headed to yoga tonight and she pointed out the fact that I’ve done hot yoga 7 out of the past 9 days. I took off last Wednesday for dinner with a friend and Sunday because, well, there wasn’t a class that day.

She makes a good point though. When I find something I like I often tend to go a bit overboard with it. The thing about yoga though is that the results come in so fast (I can practically do a split already) and almost all the results translate to big time benefits. I’m more tone, slimmer, happier, and more relaxed during the day.

The one thing I am not is brimming with is free social time. So, in the interest of maintaining a life outside of yoga and work I’m going to keep it to 4 days a week. Probably Tue-Thurs and Sat. This way, I see my favorite instructors and still give myself a bit of a break on Sunday and Monday. Knowing me though I’ll wind up running or cycling one of those days.

In the meantime I’m going to treat myself to some of this tonight after a sweet potato w/ some baked beans:

only 100 calories a serving!

and some of this too:

Have a great evening!
