Hope everyone had a really happy Saint Patricks day filled with good friends and delicious food! I’ve been so busy at work it was hard for me to squeeze in anything at all. Next week I’ll head to my parents house for Passover for a much needed break.
I can’t say how much I’m looking forward to the tranquility of Virgina and the peaceful suburban early morning runs through quiet neighborhoods. Not to mention my moms amazing holiday cooking!
Passover has always been one of my favorite holidays. It’s really an opportunity to get together with the family and enjoy traditional eating and awesome company. There also something I love about the ritual aspect of observing the seder. Although I’m not a religious person I think that some rituals transcend the need for religion and are just a beautiful thing in which to take part.
The holiday is also a perfect excuse for me to ditch the laptop for a couple of days and decompress. I’ll probably still blog, but I want to give myself some days with my family in NOVA and some quality time with my godson and his fam (my best friends!) in Fredericksburg VA. All in all I’ll be gone for nearly a week! Cooking with my mom and sitting out on my parents beautiful deck are some activities that just never get old.
By the way it is sunny and beautiful and 70 degrees here in NYC. If you’re weather is anything like mine, get out there if you can! I can’t wait for the weekend!
