I’m busy and I love it and I can’t get over how wonderful and rewarding it is to be employed!
With the financial situation and the spectacular changes going on here in NY and in the country in general I was, I’ll admit, a little worried about getting a job. It really seems that the wait was worth it though as I’m getting an opportunity to do some incredibly cool things here! As it turns out the neighborhood ain’t half bad either with two pretty awesome bike shops nearby and, as seems to always be the case in NY, endless amazingly good food.
I’ve been bringing my lunch for the past week though, in the ongoing effort to really work on budgeting, something I can finally do now that I’m gainfully employed. Ah, the sweetness of the sound of it.
This weekend I’m taking the train up to Connecticut to meet my cousin for lunch. The weather looks like it will be absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to lounge on the train and watch the rolling hills of upstate go by. If you happen to be a Twitter user – add me! (liquidjill of course!!) I’ll be tweeting no doubt the entire trip.
Also, if you’re interested in a 2000 Acura Integra in excellent condition (though it needs a bit of body work) and less than 80,000 miles – please drop me a line. Now that the election is over I am officially changing my residence to Brooklyn and selling my car. Which will really, seriously and finally make this whole thing official.
Though the lease, the job and the level of enamor I feel had to have had me there already, right?
thought so.
