made in Brooklyn!

I thought I would mention my new favorite granola of choice, made right here in Brooklyn:

It is delicious and I love the fact that I get to support local merchants when I purchase it. It makes it that much more satisfying when I sprinkle it in my daily Fage yogurt.

I had an incredibly challenging night at yoga this evening, it was all I could do just to get my butt down there I was that exhausted from my day. And then to make it through the class? Let’s just say it was a practice in endurance. But at the end I was so glad I did!

I have to say having the gym just 8 blocks from home makes the whole process so much easier than last year. Schlepping to the train, waiting on it, and then dealing with it again on the way home all sweaty from running was really, really hard. Now I just walk, (down-hill the way there!) and on the way home I have time to reflect on the class.

Tonight I kept feeling my thoughts drifting back to work, and work related stuff, it took a lot of focusing and breathing to make it otherwise but I can happily say that by the end of the class I felt happy, at peace and relaxed. I honestly don’t know what I would do without yoga, it makes wintertime in NYC bearable.

When I got home I made a small salad, reheated some root veggies and quickly steamed some edamame on the side. I roasted another kabocha squash as well  and separated it into little snack baggies. It makes such a perfect low cal in-between meal treat! Take a peek here for my post on how to easily cook one yourself.

Now to do a little writing, drink some hot Yogi Bedtime tea and maybe tweak the site some more, just for fun. Have a great night!
