Quinten Aden

About a year and a half ago I had one of those milestone achievements in my life. Yes, for a single day I was, in the immortal words of Ron Burgundy, kind of a big deal.

Actually, it was just my graduation from college and really, the only things that make it stick out from the norm are two facts. One, I was 31 years old at the time, and two, my graduation dinner/party was the staging ground for the only successful setup of my not too illustrious career in such things. Anyway, I introduced one of my best friends in the world to one of my other best friends (they had seen each other before, but never formally met) and much to my surprise, and to the surprise of so many of our mutual friends – they hit it off. Around 18 months and a marriage and pregnancy later I am the very very proud godmother of a beautiful baby boy.

Now, I know how contrived it is for me to tell you how this baby eclipses other babies in this way or that way but the truth of it is that he does. So there. Deal, ok? What can I say, he is extraordinary and perhaps the cutest baby I’ve ever seen. The genes man, its the genes – I pick my perspective to be set up in the distant future friends carefully you know!

Anyway, here’s a pic of the bundle of hyperactive month old joy, decide for yourself.

It’s okay to melt a little bit inside. I did.

Also, I realized while flying into JFK this morning how much I missed this city, if only for 36 hours. I didn’t know that my little heart could have grown any fonder but I suppose it’s true what they say.

Here’s to good friends, great oldies and brand new life.

Cheers mate.

well, it seems as though you and I are an an impasse on this particular subject. I happen to know that *MY* beautiful bouncing baby godson in Fredericksburg is the
cutest, most perfect baby ever. So, by my logic, you are most assuredly wrong. However, I’m willing to concede and suggest that we declare a tie and resume our normally
scheduled friendship :) (That said, I should probably put up a blog and post some ridiculously cute pictures of Jensen just to be on the safe side). Love the blog, lady. LOVE it.
