single serving of awesome

Except for my very dear friends there is really very little that I miss about ol’ RVA.

However, once every so often I do see something that makes me twinge with nostalgia just a little bit. An unfamiliar longing for the simpler times threatens to emerge and my mind wanders to thoughts of a BBQ turkey burger from Carytown and a beer from the Commercial Taphouse.

Then I suddenly come to my senses and the equilibrium of normalcy returns.

This weekend  I received an email that shot me off into that strange discombobulated place and I thought I might share the joy with all of you. Among the very many constants of Richmond, one of my favorites was a friend of mine, whom I’ll call Priority. Mostly because his name is… well… Priority. No kidding, it’s awesome.

Anyway, I know the guy from way back and even though I haven’t actually spoken to him in nearly 10 years I somehow make it onto his email lists announcing one of two events in his life. Either it’s the latest cruise he’s taken with his girlfriend, or the yearly Halloween extravaganza at his house. You might think after all this time I’d have become bored with hearing about the events of this guy I barely know and perhaps ask to be taken off his list.

Not a chance.

The blend of “classic” web animation skills coupled with a unique style of writing and presentation make each journey though his memories a treat that’s kind of hard to explain. The experience, for me at least is pretty much made of awesome. You may agree, you may not, but without further ado please take a moment to check out some true Richmond Virginia passion and art. I give you Priority Halloween 2008.

enjoy.
